Common questions

My palm leaves marks on the page.

Turn on Pencil only in the tool tray. The page then ignores fingers, so your hand can rest on the screen. Two fingers still move and zoom the page.

Do I need an Apple Pencil?

No. With Pencil only turned off, one finger colors. A Pencil adds pressure and tilt, which change how each brush lays down color.

How do I find the spots I missed?

Tap the light bulb. It flashes every uncolored area for the selected number, including small gaps.

Can I color my own drawings?

Yes. In Pages, choose Bring your own line art and pick a black-on-white image. Tooth numbers the pieces on your iPhone. The first three imports are free; a one-time purchase makes imports unlimited.

I bought the unlock on another device or reinstalled the app.

Open the menu and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.

How do I keep my pages safe?

Everything is stored only on your iPhone, and deleting the app deletes it. Use Export backup in the menu to save a copy to Files or iCloud Drive, and Import backup to bring it back.
